About Us

Kampout Fresno is an annual LGBT+ camping event in the Central Valley.  Every year we have a new theme for Kampout and we encourage you to decorate your campsites in theme.

When is Kampout?

Kampout always happens the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after Labor Day weekend.

For 2019, Kampout will be on Friday, September 6, 2019 thru Sunday, September 8, 2019.  Make sure to check out our Schedule page for more information on times and activities.

Where is Kampout?

Kampout is at Texas Flat Campground.  It is a little rough to get to, but well worth the 90 minute journey from Fresno.  We will mark the route for you with pink Kampout "K" signs along the way.  The road is manageable, and large RV's often make the trek.  At an elevation of 5,400 feet, the air is clean and crisp.  We reserve the entire area alongside McGilvery Creek, so you can enjoy camping underneath a canopy of tall trees with 100 or more of your closest friends!  The area is very large, so you can find privacy and solitude if you like.  Make sure to visit the Directions link for maps and instructions on how to get to Texas Flat Campground.

Who runs Kampout?

We are run by a group of individual volunteers who are dedicated to making Kampout a huge success.  Our committee works as a team and no single person operates as the sole decision maker.
