Kampout occurs every year on the first Friday after Labor Day Weekend.
You must be 21 years or older to attend Kampout.
Although we highly discourage bringing your pets, we do allow well behaved pets. Pet owners must be responsible. The Kampout Committee reserves the right to ask you to remove your pet from the premises if any of the following is observed:
Please be mindful that this is a wilderness setting and there is no secured fencing to protect your pet from wandering off or protect your pet from any wildlife that may wander into camp. The Kampout Committee will not assume liability for any injury to your pet.
There is no running water or electricity. Kampout does provide porta potties that are distributed throughout the campsite. There is a weir on the property but water levels vary. Cold water creeks flow to the weir and can provide areas for swimming and refreshing.
The Kampout Committee will host a large main fire pit for all campers to utilize and enjoy. If permitted, the Kampout Committee, may also allow individuals to utilize a private fire pit at their personal campsites so long as the following rules are adhered to:
Due to the increased danger of wildfires, The Kampout Committee may adjust fire pit rules as needed.
Please keep in mind that the drive to camp includes unpaved roads that may be difficult for large vehicles to travel. Space is very limited for large trailers, pop-ups, and RVs. A different arrival route will be necessary for navigating these types of vehicles onto the campgrounds as the current directions include driving down a steep grade and over the creek bed. The alternate route is approximately 25-30mins longer. If you would like to bring your trailer, pop-up, or RV, you must notify the committee in advance to ensure there is adequate parking available. Space will be reserved on a first request basis. You can contact the committee to request space at firstname.lastname@example.org.
